Cyber Awareness Session on Artificial Intelligence; AN Police Personnel preparing to tackle ‘Deep Fake’
Port Blair, Nov 24: A&N
Police organized a Cyber Awareness Session for its personnel on “Artificial
Intelligence and Deep Fake”, in hybrid mode as part of the 'Cyber Guruvar'
initiative on Nov 23, 2023, and will be organized every Thursday by the Cyber
Cell of A&N Police. This comprehensive session, brought together A&N
Police officers to gain knowledge on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Fake.
Topics covered during the session were: Neutral Network, Synthetic Media,
Virtual Influencer, Exploring & Understanding Deep Fakes, its applications,
use of AI in various fields such as Healthcare, Entertainment industry,
Journalism and News Reporting etc. Challenges and concerns related to Deep
Fakes, some recent incidents of fraud and impersonation through deep fake,
mitigating the risks and various tools available to detect Deep Fakes were
elaborately explained by Sh. Kumar Abhishek, Dy. SP (CID). SP (CID), Sh. Rajeev
Ranjan, IPS, along with other senior officers of A&N Police also joined
this session. This is fourth such session in this series.
It is worth mentioning
that on 17th November, 2023, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji, also
expressed concerns about the problematic use of Artificial Intelligence for
creating 'Deep Fake' content and urged the necessity to educate the public on
this issue.

advised to keep themselves safe and follow the Andaman and Nicobar Police on
social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Koo for regular
advisories on safe online behavior and cyber safety tips. They are also advised
to verify before sharing and stay informed from authentic means.
