‘Seva Cops’ this is how 67th Police Constable Batch of ANP renders humanity

Port Blair, Nov 08: If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden. The 67th Police Constable Batch of Andaman Nicobar Police received a call from G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair on 28/10/2023, for blood requirement of O-ve, O+ve and B+ve for lady and pregnant patients. Police cops respond promptly, Shri. Saravanan a very rare blood group (O-ve), Shri T Madhav Rao (O+ve), Shri Ujjwal Pandey (O+ve) and Shri Sambhu Murthy (B+ve, this is his 46th time blood donation towards needy patients) donated blood at G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair. Patient's family members expressed their gratitude to ANP.

This batch cops is always celebrating of their family functions/ceremonies at orphanages in our Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Recently, Smti. Pasha celebrated her daughter's birthday at Pranab Kanya Sangha Delanipur, Port Blair and Shri Sambhu Murthy also celebrated his daughter's birthday at Pranab Kanya Sangha Delanipur, Port Blair and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Shadipur, Port Blair. Police batch also observing of Police Commemoration Day on 21st Oct, 2023 and 27th Oct, 2023 during the food provided at above both orphanages.

On 01/11/2023, Cops donated an amount Rs.5,201/- (Five Thousand Two Hundred One Rupee Only) towards treatment of Lady Patient (31) yrs, resident from Port Blair, she has met with an accident and got fractured her both hands. On 03/11/2023, Shri M. Santosh Kumar (A+ve) has donated blood to a pregnant patient at G.B. Pant Hospital. This batch will always work for the betterment and development of Society. 67th batch Cops received a lots of Awards and Appreciations from Civic society. Hereupon, Civic society has given them title as "Seva Cops" for their selfless service.

Campaign for free access to Cellular Jail gains support, calls for National Pilgrimage Status

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 25: A campaign demanding greater respect for India's martyrs at the historic Cellular Jail in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has gained momentum. The movement calls for the jail, a "National Memorial," to be declared a "National Pilgrimage Site." Activists are advocating for free entry to the light and sound show for island residents and a nominal fee of Rs.30 for outside tourists. Successful Surgery Gives New Life to 2.5-Year-Old Girl Born Without Properly Formed Food Pipe

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 30: A 2.5-year-old girl, born with a congenital condition where her esophagus (food pipe) was not properly formed, has successfully undergone a highly specialized surgery at ANIIMS (Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences). Immediately after birth, a team of ANIIMS surgeons performed emergency surgery, placing a feeding tube in her abdomen through the stomach to ensure she could receive nutrition. For over two and a half years, the child was fed through this tube, enabling her to gain adequate weight in preparation for a reconstructive surgery to create a functioning food pipe. On September 25, 2024, a complex surgery was performed to create a new esophagus for the child.
