Pran Prathista Utsav at historic Ayodhya Ram Temple celebrated in A&N Islands befittingly


Port Blair, Jan 24: The consecration of Sree Ram at Ayodhya was celebrated all over India and the world including Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a festival with pooja, havan, bhog and rallies with the jaykara of Jai Sri Ram on 22nd January 2024. The Poojith Akshath Kalash from Ram Janmabhoomi Theerth Kshethra Trust, Ayodhya received on 9th December 2023 brought by Mr. Rama Pada Paul, Kshethriya Pracharak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshethra Committee of Andaman & Nicobar Islands distributed more than 82000 Akshath to the door to door of Sanatani in which more than 948 karyakartha / Ram Bhakth involved for the packing of Akshath in which majority of Female devotees came forward for the cause at Ram Mandir Janmabhoomi Theerth Kshethra Karyalaya, Seva Bharati. The distribution of Akshath from Diglipur to Campbell Bay were carried out with the assistance of more than 3150 karyakartha to reach to the Ram Bhakth.
In these Islands around 380 temples were provided with Akshath Kalash in a traditional way with rally of devotees by walk and bike with the decorated posture of Bhagwan Ram in vehicles from 13th December 2023. The Southernmost tip of Bharath i.e. Campbell bay got the first Akshath Kalash for the temple in the respective Island.
In Andaman & Nicobar Islands more than 380 temples organized special pooja and celebrations decorating temples with lights and most of the temples arranged Live Telecast of Pran Prathista for the devotees in the premises of temple as well as in Public places. Altogether the ceremony of Pran Prathista in the entire Union Territory was organized with the support of more than 19000 karyakartha and Ram Bhakth.
The Port Blair City as well as rural major locations were decorated with Lord Ram's Flex and Om Flag. Today i.e. 22nd Jan. 2024 various temples conducted small rallies by decorating vehicles with Prabhu Ram and sound system. Since the arrival of Akshath Kalash in these Islands, more than 242 rallies were conducted including Kalash Yatra and today's Pran Prathista Utsav Rally.
As per a release of VHP, in all activities of Pran Prathista Utsav more than 3.40 Lakh population directly or indirectly involved spiritually in the ceremony. First time in the history of Andaman & Nicobar Islands such a huge participation of society for the Utsav in different parts of the Island's temples. The Pran Prathista of Prabhu Sree Ram will shower Ashirwad to all devotees and take the Bharath as Vishwa Guru.

Campaign for free access to Cellular Jail gains support, calls for National Pilgrimage Status

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 25: A campaign demanding greater respect for India's martyrs at the historic Cellular Jail in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has gained momentum. The movement calls for the jail, a "National Memorial," to be declared a "National Pilgrimage Site." Activists are advocating for free entry to the light and sound show for island residents and a nominal fee of Rs.30 for outside tourists. The organizers argue that, just as the central and state governments provide free religious pilgrimages, similar provisions should be made for free visits to Cellular Jail, also known as "Kala Pani." Supporters emphasize the importance of including the jail's revolutionary history in school curricula. Successful Surgery Gives New Life to 2.5-Year-Old Girl Born Without Properly Formed Food Pipe

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 30: A 2.5-year-old girl, born with a congenital condition where her esophagus (food pipe) was not properly formed, has successfully undergone a highly specialized surgery at ANIIMS (Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences). Immediately after birth, a team of ANIIMS surgeons performed emergency surgery, placing a feeding tube in her abdomen through the stomach to ensure she could receive nutrition. For over two and a half years, the child was fed through this tube, enabling her to gain adequate weight in preparation for a reconstructive surgery to create a functioning food pipe. On September 25, 2024, a complex surgery was performed to create a new esophagus for the child.
