In the video on Feb 02, he has revealed his hardships to work as Councillor of Ward No. 4. He said, there is an acute shortage of Sanitary Inspectors and Sanitary Staffs in the Port Blair Municipal Council, Port Blair due to which proper sanitization becoming tough in the ward and as per sources, the Superintendent Engineer, PBMC also directed the Sanitary Inspectors not to work in Ward No.4, he said. It is observed that, many mazdoor workers in PBMC in duty hours are used to working in the houses of PBMC Officers, Supervisors and Sr. Inspectors, everyday and all these things are managed by the Superintendent of Engineer. Port Blair, June 16: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, along with the Ex-chairperson PBMC, K Ganeshan today met the Secretary, APWD at his office and discussed major water projects proposed in the islands. He informed the Secretary about the difficulties faced by the residents due to the water crisis Six Municipal Wards, particularly during the dry season. He also requested the Secretary, APWD for completing the repair works of pipelines damaged due to the Dairy Farm Culvert Project. The Secretary, APWD informed the MP that out of the two pipelines damaged at the culvert project site, repair work of one pipeline is already completed and repair work of another pipeline is under progress which will also be completed shortly. Port Blair, June 02: Following credible information that one person is coming to Port Blair from Chennai in a fight with huge amount of Ganja, a joint team of PS Chatham and PS Aberdeen was formed headed by SI Shubham Ghosh & SI Mazumder respectively on May 31. The team soon reached ITF Ground and checked the belonging of the passenger, Mr. Ganesh Baag, a resident of Chennai and seized 5.5 KG of Ganja. The operation was carried out under the leadership of SDPO, South Andaman, ASP Kalaivanan R under overall supervision of Mr. Ravi Kumar, SP SA. It is believed that more arrests are possible in this case as Mr. Ganesh is working for a Ganja Racket in Andaman.

Port Blair, June 24: A solemn homage programme was organised at the Buniyadabad community hall on June 23, 2020 evening to pay tributes to the Galwan martyrs. Residents and youth of Buniyadabad, Ward No-8 under the leadership of Mr. K Ganeshan, Municipal Councillor of this ward, along with the residents and youth of the area paid tributes to the brave Indian soldiers who lost their lives in a violent face-off with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley on June 15. On the other side, the Multipurpose Hall at Buniyadabad is turning into a unique monument as still it is left for display purpose only instead of multipurpose use for the residents of the area since its completion. The Multipurpose hall in Ward No. 8, Buniyadabad has been in a ready condition since 5 years now after its inauguration on 14th August, 2015. But it has been left as a monument without any proper use for the people of the area. The Port Blair Municipal Council is not allowing people to arrange any functions in this community hall. Port Blair, May 14: Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has taken up the matter with the Hon’ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi regarding continuation of ANISHI scheme upto 31st December, 2020 for cashless treatment upto Rs.5 lakhs for the Islanders. Mr. Sharma has stated that in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, only one Government Hospital namely GB Pant Hospital is available for treatment of general diseases and in case of serious diseases such as Cancer, Cardiac, Neuro, Brain Tumour, Accidentals cases etc, such patients are referring to Super Specialty Hospitals at Chennai and Kolkata under a scheme introduced by the A&N Administration namely “Andaman & Nicobar Islands Scheme for Health Insurance (ANISHI) for cashless treatment upto Rs.5 lakhs (Five lakhs) per patient since 2015. Further curtailment in water supply from April 8 Port Blair, Apr 7    Due to deficit South West monsoon and complete failure of North East monsoon during 2019, the storage level of all water sources including the major sources Dhanikhari Dam has depleted alarmingly. The water level in Dhanikhari dam as of 6 th April (against its full reservoir level of 66 mtrs) is at the lowest during the last 5-6 years and the same is detailed below:- Year Level 2015 57.34 m 2016 58.13 m 2017 59.14 m 2018 57.15 m 2019 60.74 m 2020 53.30 m     As is evident from the above table, the current water level is lower by 7.30 mtrs compared to the corresponding period of last year.
